There was a lot of talk this week about not writing – or at least not at all about the craft of writing. From Eden Tyler’s post on Fuel Your Writing: Let Yourself Get Distracted to Bonnie Bartel Latino’s guest post on Editor Unleashed giving you permission to Find Inspiration in Sleep to Alison Wells reminding you that there are many ways to be a writer in her post: 5 Ways to Be a Writer When You’re Not Writing.

Jane Friedman wrote an inspirational post this week that we should all take to heart: Remove These Phrases from Your Writing Life. And Joanna Penn asked a very difficult question on her blog: What Will You Give Up to Write Your Book?

There was also much encouragement to be found this week for when the going gets tough. There was Steven Pressfield’s Self-Talk and Self-Sabotage post helping you face resistance and persistence was the topic of Ken Robert’s post on Mildly Creative: Stand Up Seven Times, Sit Down Eight.

As you overcome those resistance and persistence demons, Gretchen Rubin wrote a great guest post on Christina Baker Kline’s A Writing Life blog with 13 Tips for Actually Getting Some Writing Done.

Deborah Riley-Magnus takes the big-picture approach to your writing career and suggests you make a plan by starting at the end, because Writers Write. Successful Writers Write a Business Plan.

Two last things:
